A dentist for Springwood Families — five minutes up Hawkesbury Road
Springwood is not short of dentists. What Springwood is short of is car space on Macquarie Road at nine in the morning, a Saturday appointment, and a price you can find out before you sit down. We’re about eight minutes away, inside Winmalee Village, with free parking directly outside the door — and every fee published before you book.
What Your First Visit Costs, Before You Book It
If you have eligible dental extras cover, your first visit is gap free — we claim it through HICAPS while you’re standing at the desk. Without cover, it’s a flat $199. Either way, that covers the whole appointment:
-
-
- A comprehensive examination of teeth, gums, bite and jaw joints
- Full-mouth and intraoral x-rays
- A 3D digital scan and clinical photographs
- A clean, polish and fluoride treatment
- A written treatment plan with costs and your rebate already applied
-
After that, six-monthly check-ups and cleans are capped at $50 out of pocket for anyone with a health fund, whichver fund it is. Children under 18 are gap-free, either through your cover or through Medicare’s Child Dental Benefits Schedule.
Why Springwood Patients Make the Drive
You park at the door
Free village parking directly outside — no circling Macquarie Road, no time limit, no walk back up the hill in the rain.
Saturdays and late Thursdays
We’re open Saturday mornings and until 8pm on Thursday, so an appointment doesn’t have to cost a day’s work or a day of school.
Everything is done here
Implants, braces and clear aligners, wisdom teeth and sleep dentistry, all handled in the practice by our own dentists. You’re not referred down to Penrith and back.
The fees are public
Every price is on our website. You will never find out what something costs at the counter afterwards.
Two dentists who live here
Dr Sam Lin and Dr Ashley Ong both call the Lower Mountains home. Your children will see the same faces every six months.
Children, School Terms and the CDBS
Under 18’s are gap-free for six-monthly check-ups and cleans with private cover, and we bulk bill eligible children under the Child Dental Benefits Schedule. Children under four get their first visit free — a short, friendly introduction with no treatment, so the chair stops being frightening before it ever needs to be used.
We keep after-school and Saturday appointments for local families, and we’ll see siblings back to back so it’s one trip, not three.
If You've Been Putting It Off
Plenty of our new patients haven’t seen a dentist in yeas, and nobody here will make you feel bad about it. If the anxiety is the real barrier, we offer sleep dentistry with IV sedation, administered in the practice by a qualified anesthetist or emergency physician — so treatment that would take several visits to face can be done in one while you sleep.
In Pain Today?
We hold emergency appointments every day we’re open, including Saturdays. If you’re in Springwood with a broken tooth, a lost filling, swelling or a toothache that kept you up, call before 10am and we’ll almost always see you the same day. An emergency examination is $50, including any X-rays we need.

How far is Winmalee Family Smiles from Springwood?
About five kilometers — roughly eight minutes up Hawkesbury Road. Most Springwood patients tell us it’s faster than finding a park on Macquarie Road.
Is there parking?
Yes, free village parking directly outside the practice. You won’t need to pay, queue, or watch the clock.
Can I get a Saturday appointment?
Yes. We’re open Saturday mornings and until 8pm on Thursdays.
Can you get my records from my current Springwood dentist?

All health funds, claimed on the spot through HICAPS. We also accept DVA, concession and seniors cards, and offer 10% off treatment for pensioners and seniors.
Do I need a referral for implants or braces?
No. Both are done here, and implant, orthodontic, Invisalign and cosmetic consultations are complimentary.
